Prerequisites

Before you begin, you'll need:

• git - For pulling example configurations and deployments
• docker or podman - For running Logship services in containers
• CPU: 2+ cores, Memory: 4+ GB free, Disk: 10+ GB free (SSD recommended)
• Network: outbound internet for image pulls (or a local registry mirror for air-gapped)

Quick environment checks

• Verify Docker: docker version
• Verify disk space: df -h (Linux/macOS) or Get-PSDrive C (Windows PowerShell)
• Optional GPU/accelerators: not required; Logship is CPU-optimized.

This guide uses containers for simplicity, making it easy to get started regardless of your operating system. If you're familiar with containers and basic terminal commands, you'll be up and running in no time.
